Google Phone The Start Of Something Beautifull For VoIP & VoFI

I briefly mentioned the rumour of the new Google I phone yesterday, it’s suddenly occurred to me there could be a lot of truth to this matter.

Google purchased the worlds dark fibre, dark fibre has the ability to use WIFI, if Google wanted they could give everywhere in the world free wireless internet, it has already done testing in a few towns and offered wireless internet free to all the residents.

Obviously there has to be something in it for Google, if Google was to launch a supposed VoFi phone (VoIP Mobile Phone). Just as Google ads know your location so would the adverts on their wireless phones.

So Google could say allow advertisers to place region specific adverts at particular times of the day, so say a pub or bar in your area was running a lunch time promotion, they would use googles advertising services to send a text or simply display an advert on any user within a 5 mile radius of the pub or bar promoting their special lunchtime promotion.

This could bring huge potential not only for local businesses but also users.

Google phone is said to be partnering with mobile phone giant orange on this venture but it is all very hush hush and neither companies would comment on the matter.

Its also rumoured they may be working with Samsung but until 2008 who knows, this is the predicted year for release and I hope they are in development as I for one am fed up with horrendous phone bills for my mobile phone.

If VoIP is utilized on this phone as it most certainly will be, the current providers will be scraping for customers and will surely follow Google and Orange’s lead.

The rumours that apple will be creating an I phone became true so what’s to say this wont happen.

If it does who knows, next we might see a Yahoo phone using VoIP or a Microsoft mobile phone!!

VoIP is slowly becoming more popular and I am confident its only a matter of time until the way we talk will change forever.

I found a few pictures of the supposed Google Phone have a look below and let me know what you think with a comment.
